RICHLAND, Wash. – A Richland father is preparing to say his final goodbye to his 12-year-old daughter, Lily, who suffered extensive brain injuries after nearly drowning in the Columbia River.
Mark Pfeifer, Lily’s father, says Lily’s body is shutting down and he’s gathering family members to say farewell.
Mark says Lily was an incredibly special, unique girl. She was an artist and loved to bake.
He wants to share a message about the importance of a life jacket.
